Last week, Donald Trump ordered a launch of 59 cruise missiles at a Syrian government air base he claimed was involved in a chemical weapons attack that killed dozens of innocent civilians.
As reported by The Daily Telegraph,Eric Trump said the strike was influenced by Trump’s beloved daughter Ivanka, who according to Trump, was “heartbroken and outraged” by the chemical attack. Speaking to the newspaper on Monday, Eric stated:
“Ivanka is a mother of three kids and she has influence.”
“I’m sure she said, ‘Listen, this is horrible stuff.’ My father will act in times like that.”
He went on to mention that his father is “a great thinker, and practical not impulsive.”
“I’m proud he took that action, and believe me he thinks things through,” he told the press.
If Trump actually thought things through he would never have his daughter, who has no right to even put in her two cents in a situation like this, influence whether or not he bombs another country; that is just absurd. It’s a shame how Ivanka doesn’t feel bad about the “horrible stuff” that happens to American children–like when their families have no medical insurance due to her father’s inability to provide reasonable healthcare. Where is her sympathy there?
If Donald Trump thinks he can run the country on the whim of his unqualified sons and daughters, then we are really in deep, deep waters.
