Donald Trump and his corrupt lawyer, Michael Cohen, just keep getting more bad news about their lawsuit regarding their $130,000 non-disclosure agreement with adult film star Stormy Daniels.
Today, U.S. District Court Judge James Otero decided to postpone his decision to rule on a petition for Trump and Cohen that would delay Daniels’ lawsuit against them, in which she is claiming that the NDA is void due to Trump never having signed it. Judge Otero stated that the attempt by Cohen’s lawyers to stall the lawsuit by insisting that Cohen’s Fifth Amendment rights were at risk due to the FBI raids and the progression of the lawsuit were insufficient. Judge Otero instead said Cohen must file the statement himself.
To make matters worse, Daniels’ lawyer, Michael Avenatti, immediately responded to mock Trump and his legal team for failing to succeed in postponing the suit.
Avenatti also spoke to reporters this morning and stated that he would be hitting Trump with a defamation lawsuit in response to Trump’s tweet earlier this week, in which the president called a sketch of a man who Daniels said threatened her to keep her silent a “total con job.”
“I fully anticipate that we will be amending this complaint in short order, or filing a separate action against Mr. Trump for his defamatory, outrageous statements made earlier this week where he effectively called my client a liar and stated that she was trying to pull a con on the American people.
Even though Mr. Cohen expresses concern about making self-incriminating statements … the record demonstrates that Mr. Cohen has already freely and openly discussed this matter in the public, including under oath in declarations filed in this case.”
Stormy and Avenatti continue to be a major issue for Trump and his team, and it’s driving the president insane. The fact that Avenatti openly mocks Trump in front of the entire world is just the icing on the cake.
