Probably Trump selects his staff and representatives after judging whether they are as eccentric, stupid, and unreliable as he is. While he could use his money to hire the best of legal representatives for himself, he chose otherwise.
In a recent statement, Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s attorney representing him in the Russia investigation said that he didn’t know for sure if the FBI had an informant in the Trump campaign, which is contradictory to Trump’s own claims. He specifically mentioned that Trump doesn’t know for sure if there was an informant or not.

Responding to CNN’s query, Giuliani said, “First of all, I don’t know for sure, nor does the President, if there really was.”
On Wednesday, the New York Times reported that one or more informants have met Carter Page and George Papadopoulos regarding the Russia investigation, a fact that many Republicans have accepted. The former New York City mayor said that they “were told there were two embedded people in the campaign and the NY Times report corroborates what people told us off the record.” Though he later confused up his own statement by adding that he didn’t know whether they were informed correctly or not.
Twitter missed no chance to troll the incompetent lawyer:

While Trump might possibly shout fake news over Twitter soon, does he realize that he himself made unverified claims, that a Twitter user pointed counts as fake news?

Interestingly, this comes a day after Giuliani claimed that Mueller cannot indict Trump since he doesn’t have the authority to do so, though we won’t believe him till we hear the same from Mueller himself.
